This policy describes how Janewords (“us”, “we”, “our”) collects and uses information about you through your interactions with our website. Please review the policy and feel free to contact us with questions or concerns.

Janewords currently collects the following types of information from you.

We will take appropriate measures to secure Email Information.

• Information you provide when you access the site (“Log Data”):

As is the case with most websites, our computing services provider automatically logs information each time the site is accessed. Log Data includes, but is not limited to, the IP address, browser type, operating system, URL request, location, and date and time associated with each instance of access.

Janewords will use Log Data to manage site security, ensure that the site is functioning properly, and record visit numbers (“Visit Records”). Visit Records will not include IP addresses, personally identifiable information, or persistent identifiers. A Visit Record might include the date and time of a visit, the country and region from which the visit occurred, and whether given site actions were completed on that visit. The purposes of maintaining Visit Records include assessing the project's viability, assessing the effects of site changes or marketing efforts, and assessing opportunities for the project.

Log Data is retained by our computing services provider for three days. Janewords may retain Log Data, including IP addresses, for longer periods if necessary for security-related purposes. Janewords may retain Visit Records indefinitely. We will take appropriate measures to secure Log Data and Visit Records.

Third parties and transfers:

We will not sell your personal information. Personal information may be shared with third parties to the extent necessary to provision the website and email services or to comply with the law.

Janewords is based in the United States and your personal information may be processed in the United States. If you are using or contacting Janewords from another country, you acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be transferred to the United States.

Our computing services provider is Cloudflare (privacy policy here). Our email services provider is Gmail (privacy policy here), with email forwarding services provided by Cloudflare.

Cookies:

Janewords takes measures to secure the site against bot traffic. For devices subject to challenges (e.g., CAPTCHAs, non-interactive challenges), essential cookies provide information about the outcome (“Challenge Cookies”). Challenge Cookies come from Cloudflare, our computing services provider.

These are the Challenge Cookies you may see (descriptions from Cloudflare documentation):

•  cf_clearance : Stores the proof of challenge passed. It is used to no longer issue a challenge if present. It is required to reach an origin server.
•  cf_chl_rc_i ;  cf_chl_rc_ni ;  cf_chl_rc_m : For internal use which allows Cloudflare to identify production issues on clients.
